Role Summary

As CEO, you will guide OncoVation through critical growth phases, including IND-enabling studies, securing investments, building a world-class team, and navigating regulatory pathways to bring our therapies to patients. A background in medicine or scientific research, particularly with experience in clinical trials, is highly favored.

Key Responsibilities 🚀

• Strategic Leadership & Vision: Define and execute the company's long-term strategy aligned with our mission to revolutionize cancer treatment.
• Fundraising & Investor Relations:
  • Lead fundraising efforts, securing investment rounds (Seed to D/C), to finance preclinical, clinical, and regulatory milestones.
  • Engage with investors, including VCs, angels, private equity, and investment banks, effectively communicating our value proposition.
• Research & Development Oversight: Guide preclinical and clinical programs, ensuring a streamlined path toward IND submission.
• Regulatory Affairs & FDA Approvals:
  • Manage interactions with regulatory agencies, particularly the FDA.
  • Leverage success in securing IND, BLA, or NDA approvals and pursue expedited pathways like Orphan Drug or Fast Track.
• Commercialization & Market Access: Develop strategies for market entry, reimbursement, and broad patient access.
• Team Building & Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team fostering innovation and collaboration.
• Partnership Management: Cultivate strategic alliances with CDMOs, academic institutions, and collaborators.
• Financial Stewardship: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to sustain growth and shareholder value.
• Intellectual Property Management: Protect and expand IP related to gene constructs, vectors, and manufacturing processes.
• Board Engagement: Collaborate with the Board of Directors for strategic guidance and corporate governance.

Qualifications & Skills 🎯

• Leadership Experience: 10-15+ years in biotech or pharma leadership roles, especially as a CEO or senior executive.
• Oncology & Gene Therapy Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of oncology drug development and gene therapy pipelines.
  • Track record of successful program progression from preclinical to regulatory approval.
• Regulatory Success: Proven history of securing FDA approvals (IND, BLA, NDA) for innovative therapeutics.
• Fundraising Skills: Demonstrated ability to raise capital across multiple funding rounds from diverse investors.
• Investor Network: Established relationships with investors, venture capitalists, and strategic partners.
• Business Acumen: Strategic thinker with strong market and financial insights within biotech.
• Communication & Influence: Excellent communicator capable of articulating complex ideas persuasively.
• Team Builder: Skilled in attracting and developing top talent and fostering high-performance cultures.
• Scientific Background: MD or PhD preferred, with deep industry experience in drug discovery, development, and clinical trials.
