Your Role With the Company
The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for overseeing all back-of-house operations. Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading the culinary team with passion and professionalism, inspiring excellence and upholding the highest standards of food and hospitality 🎖️
- Managing inventory, ordering, controlling COGS, and ensuring adherence to SOPs ⚙️
- Ensuring consistent, high-quality presentation and flavor for every dish 🍽️
- collaborating on menu development, seasonal updates, and special offerings that showcase creativity and ingredient integrity 🎨
- Fostering a culture of learning through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on training 📚
- Maintaining full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards for a clean and organized kitchen 🧼
- Partnering with management to achieve operational goals, oversee costs, and safeguard the restaurant’s reputation for excellence 🤝
Background Profile
- 3+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine in a $6M+ upscale or fine dining restaurant 🍷
- Proven expertise in authentic Italian cuisine, especially in fresh pasta production and execution 🍝
- Deep passion for Italian culinary traditions with a flair for modern regional dishes 🇮🇹
- Strong knowledge of sanitation, food safety, and health department regulations ✅
- Experience developing and executing ingredient-driven menus that balance creativity with flavor 🎯
- Skilled in inventory management, food costs, and labor optimization 💡
- Positive, collaborative leadership style that promotes teamwork and hospitality excellence 🤗
