CAA is looking for highly skilled, TS/SCI Poly-cleared language professionals to support critical government operations in Fairfax, VA. This travel-only role offers dynamic deployment cycles, providing valuable experience in national security and intelligence.

About the Position

As a language professional with expertise in Chechen and Russian, you will be an integral part of our mission, translating complex texts and reports, and interpreting in high-stakes environments. Your skills will directly contribute to national security efforts.

Responsibilities

• Accurate Translation: Translate reports and texts in electronic and hard-copy formats, capturing facts, abstract language, implications, and nuances.
• Geopolitical & Cultural Insight: Incorporate regional, ethnic, and cultural elements into translations.
• Interpretation Skills: Perform consecutive interpretation, with occasional simultaneous interpretation when required.
• Regional Dialects: Demonstrate a strong understanding of one or more regional dialects.
• Factual & Abstract Summaries: Identify and accurately summarize both concrete points and abstract concepts.
• Technical Proficiency: Utilize MS Office and internet research skills to produce reports and translations efficiently.
• Communication: Deliver clear verbal briefings with excellent English language skills.
• Transcription: Review audio and internet materials, transcribing with high accuracy and expression.
• Report Preparation: Write precise reports and briefings in English.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
• Ability to pass an advanced English language test
• Score ILR Level 3 or above on target language translation test
• Active passport and willingness to deploy (travel-only role)
• Minimum of 5 years' professional experience in translation, transcription, or interpretation
• Deep knowledge of geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural aspects of target language areas
• Mastery of MS Office and internet research tools
