Join Our Team as a Remote Certified Medical Assistant 🎯

We are looking for dedicated Remote Certified Medical Assistants to support virtual patient care programs, making a meaningful impact in healthcare from the comfort of your home.

About the Role

This fully remote contract position offers flexible scheduling options including day, evening, and PRN shifts. Operating hours are from 8AM – 8PM EST, 7 days a week, making it perfect for those seeking part-time work to balance their lives while improving patient access to care.

What You'll Do:

• Assist patients with connecting to telehealth video visits and troubleshoot technical issues 📱
• Guide patients through the virtual intake process for a seamless experience 🤝
• Collect and document vital signs, medical history, and medication reconciliation 🩺
• Administer and complete screening questionnaires during patient intake 📝
• Handle inbound calls, assess patient needs, and provide guidance 📞
• Offer live phone support to address questions before appointments 💬
• Manage patient care workflows proactively from outreach to case resolution 🔄
• Escalate clinical concerns such as abnormal vital signs or medical history issues to RNs 🚑
• Document all interactions accurately using electronic health records (EHR), including AthenaOne and Healthie; also via Salesforce platform 📁
• Index cases based on screening and vital signs for follow-up 🗃️

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant, with remote CMA experience preferred 🏥
• Medical Assistant Certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT ✅
• High school diploma or equivalent, with higher education being a plus 🎓
• Experience handling high call volumes in a fast-paced environment 📞
• Familiarity with EHR systems, especially AthenaOne 💻
• Tech-savvy and adaptable to new platforms such as Slack and Google Suite 🚀
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills 🗣️
• Proven ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations 🌎
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively 🎯

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AthenaOne EHR, Salesforce, and Slack or similar platforms 🖥️
• 2-4 years of telehealth or phone-based patient care experience here
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus 🌐
