About the Role

The Medical Assistant is a versatile member of the New Century team, performing both administrative and clinical procedures to ensure smooth operations and quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• 👋 Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing, and announcing them appropriately.
• 📞 Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information as needed.
• 📦 Receive and sort daily mail, deliveries, and couriers.
• 🗓️ Update appointment calendars and schedule meetings or appointments.
• 📝 Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, and faxing.
• 💉 Administer 2-Step PPDs.
• 🛒 Keep an accurate inventory of medical supplies and medications.
• 🔒 Maintain confidentiality of workplace information following policies, procedures, and HIPAA regulations.
• 📞 Demonstrate the ability to organize and plan daily work, answering multi-line telephone calls and meeting completion requirements.

Requirements

• ✅ Must be a Certified Medical Assistant
• 🌐 Fluent in both English and Spanish
• 🎓 Graduated from an accredited Medical Assisting program
• 📝 Must have passed the certification examination
