Position Overview
Under general supervision, the Case Specialist Trainee-Temporary will receive on-the-job training from leadership. The role requires demonstrating competency by completing all program requirements outlined in the Case Management Specialist Trainee Program Acknowledgement. Successful candidates must pass both written and practicum exams to validate their skills for the full Case Specialist I role.
Important Notes
- Work Location: Onsite at assigned office.
- Temporary Employment: Employed directly through CCRC with benefits, but not eligible for vacation or paid holidays during the trainee period.
- Duration: 12 weeks (or 60 working days).
- Time off requests during the program, including vacation, will not be approved. Sick leave, jury duty, or leaves of absence are granted according to policy.
- Upon successful completion, employees can apply for permanent roles and promotions.
- Participants cannot transfer or apply for other CCRC positions until completing the trainee program and meeting promotion criteria.
Core Responsibilities
The Trainee will support the Subsidized Child Care Program operations, including:
- Parent orientations
- Screenings and certifications/recertifications
- Data entry and accurate case file maintenance
- Potential focus areas such as intake or ongoing case maintenance, depending on team assignment

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Meet all requirements in the Case Management Training Plan
- Provide case management services to families enrolled in subsidized child care programs
The responsibilities include:
- Case Processing (70%)
- Client Interaction & Support (20%)
- Data Entry / Documentation Maintenance (10%)
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required, with 2 years of related work experience in Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Family Studies, or a related field; OR
- Associate’s degree in relevant fields (as approved) + experience.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Windows-based programs and data entry systems.
Work Schedule
This position is five days onsite, with a full-time schedule predicated on organizational needs.
