JVS of MetroWest Is Hiring A Case Manager Bilingual
Full-Time Case Manager at JVS – East Orange 📍
Join JVS as a dedicated Case Manager, providing vital services to our community. This is a grant-funded role focused on supporting clients through personalized case management and job development initiatives.
About the Role
As a Case Manager, you will deliver both individual and group services, ensuring comprehensive support tailored to client needs. A strong understanding of immigration, refugee policies, and community resources is crucial for success.
Essential Functions 💼
- Accurate Documentation: Record all client interactions, services, and referrals in the ClientTrack database promptly.
- Community Outreach: Identify and engage eligible clients through local community efforts.
- Direct Case Management: Monitor client progress, provide ongoing support, and connect clients to community resources.
- Client Caseload: Manage services for approximately 80-100 clients annually.
- Eligibility & Assessments: Conduct screening, intake, orientation, financial self-sufficiency, and English language assessments.
- Record Maintenance: Keep client files and case notes current and organized.
- Coordination: Collaborate with grant funders and county welfare to streamline services and referrals.
- Client Support: Assist clients with forms, provide information, and research local resources.
- Application Assistance: Prepare and submit online applications for SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid.
- Community Promotion: Advocate and promote JVS services within the local community.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks aligned with the Education & Literacy department needs.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience 📚
- Knowledge of immigration and refugee policies and procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skills
- Fluency in Haitian-Creole (preferred, not required)
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking initiative
- Capacity to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities
- Professional attitude and work ethic
- Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years’ experience working with refugees or immigrants
- Knowledge of Essex County’s social services resources
- Social work background is a plus
Compensation 💰
Salary: $50,000 per year
