Position Overview

An ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to carry out daily pastoral responsibilities, and committed to sharing the workload within our vibrant church community.

• Discipleship: Holds a conviction for discipleship, with practical experience in both formal and informal settings.
• Team Player: Listens well, shares thoughts respectfully, and demonstrates submission to others.
• Shepherd's Heart: Shows genuine care, leads by example in personal, family, and ministry life, and serves with humility.
• Leadership & Training: Provides direction, leads small groups, and equips others through training.
• Effective Communicator: Builds healthy relationships and communicates clearly with diverse groups.
• Goal-Oriented: Develops and implements personal and ministry objectives.
• Delegation & Supervision: Assigns tasks wisely and offers guidance and oversight.
• Counseling Skills: Provides support for personal growth, premarital, and marital counseling, with willingness to pursue additional training.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Sensitive to ministry within both Chinese and Western cultural contexts.
• Family Ministry: Capable of ministering effectively to families at varying stages of life.
• Membership: Must be a current HCC member or willing to become one after employment.
• Worship Commitment: Family members are encouraged to worship at HCC, supporting our value of family worshiping together.
