About Cypress Funeral Services: We are seeking a compassionate, bilingual individual fluent in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) to join our dedicated team. As a Chinese Funeral Service Arranger, you will interact daily with Chinese-speaking families, helping them through challenging times by providing guidance and support. Your responsibilities will include coordinating funeral services, managing records, and ensuring that all ceremonies are conducted with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities 🎯

• Funeral and Memorial Services: Arrange, conduct, and direct funeral, memorial ceremonies, prayer vigils, and visitations with professionalism, compassion, and adherence to company policies.
• Documentation: Prepare and complete all necessary documents related to services, cremations, maintenance, and data entry, including materials in Chinese.
• Administrative Support: Process and file death certificates, permits, obituaries, and memorial tributes, focusing on Chinese-speaking families. Create and maintain client family files, coordinate paperwork, and handle bilingual phone communication.
• Event Coordination: Support public events, chapel and church services, and cemetery activities—driving funeral vehicles, delivering flowers and keepsakes, setting up chairs, and managing logistical details.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to meet guest needs and resolve issues promptly.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to relevant professional, municipal, state, and federal regulations and licensing.

Requirements 📝

• Language Skills: Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), with the ability to speak, read, and type fluently in Chinese.
• Education: High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Prior professional customer service experience is highly preferred.
• Skills: Proficient with computers, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently under pressure. Excellent listening skills and ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds are essential.
