As a Cantonese Consecutive Medical Interpreter, your main responsibility is to bridge communication gaps in medical settings, ensuring clear understanding between patients and healthcare professionals.

Your Key Responsibilities 📝

• Interpretation: Accurately interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and other relevant information between Cantonese-speaking patients and healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, and medical staff.
• Cultural Mediation: Offer cultural insights to help patients understand the healthcare system and assist healthcare providers in understanding cultural nuances impacting patient care.
• Confidentiality: Uphold patient privacy and adhere to ethical standards in your interpretation services.
• Documentation: Record details of interpretation sessions, including date, time, duration, and type of service.
• Professional Development: Stay updated with medical terminology and healthcare practices to provide accurate and effective interpretation.

Qualifications ✔️

• Fluency in Cantonese and English
• Experience in interpretation or translation
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems
• Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to perform well under pressure
