Job Summary

As a Medical Billing Specialist, your primary responsibilities include:

• Accurately reviewing and correcting medical billing data for claims submission to insurance companies
• Resolving BAR claim edits and payer rejections
• Obtaining and submitting supporting documentation
• Updating patient demographic and insurance information in the host system
• Reviewing billing exceptions and executing necessary updates or corrections
• Ensuring the clean and compliant submission of paper and electronic claims to third-party payers

Requirements

Experience:

• Required: 1-3 years of relevant experience

Education:

• Required: High School / GED
• Preferred: Additional certifications or advanced education are a plus
