About the Role

Store Associates work closely with both wholesale and retail customers to assess their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend suitable solutions. You will handle customer concerns promptly, stay informed about product features, and maintain high-quality visual standards of the store and products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Contact with customers, including minors, and access to sensitive items like cash, personal information, and merchandise.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Resolve concerns quickly to ensure maximum satisfaction.
  • Product Knowledge & Presentation: Stay updated on product features and maintain store standards.
  • Sales Goals: Consistently achieve excellent customer service while meeting sales objectives.
  • Operational Tasks: Pull products, tint and mix as needed, stock shelves, set displays, and assist with deliveries.

Essential Job Duties 🛒

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent sales and service
  • Assist customers both in person and over the phone by identifying needs and recommending products
  • Build trust with wholesale and retail clients
  • Process sales accurately and follow policies
  • Meet and exceed sales goals regularly
  • Maintain work order files and formulas
  • Retrieve, tint, and mix products as per customer specifications
  • Stock shelves and set up displays
  • Clean equipment and manage inventory
  • Load/unload delivery trucks and assist with deliveries as needed
  • Ensure areas are stocked and presentable
  • Stay knowledgeable about product options and suggest improvements

Minimum Requirements ✅

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work without sponsorship
  • Proficient in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications 🌟

  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of experience in retail, delivery, or customer service
  • Previous experience selling paint or operating tinting equipment
