We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Bilingual Spanish Paralegal to support our legal team. This contract role in Los Angeles requires excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English, along with a dedication to providing top-quality assistance in case management and organizational tasks.

Responsibilities ✨

• Data Entry & Organization: Perform data entry, word processing, and organize program data and case files.
• Document Management: Scan, copy, and maintain accurate records of case-related documents.
• Effective Communication: Interact with clients, staff, volunteers, and external partners for smooth collaboration.
• Legal Support: Assist attorneys with client communication and documentation.
• Client Intake: Conduct intake procedures for potential clients, gathering necessary information.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with partner organizations, prepare grant reports, and manage project services.
• Event Facilitation: Organize and facilitate webinars, trainings, and community events both virtually and in person.
• Translation Services: Provide written and oral translation between Spanish and English.
• Administrative Support: Manage various administrative tasks to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills 🌟

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a paralegal, legal secretary, or similar role.
• Certificate from a paralegal program or a BA/BS degree with at least 1 year of supervised legal experience under a California-bar attorney.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures.
• Familiarity with legal research databases such as Lexis Nexis or Westlaw.
• Experience with web-based document management systems like NetDocuments.
• Proficiency with case management systems such as Legal Server.
• Fluent in Spanish, including written and oral translation skills.
