About Us

¡Hola! We're thrilled you’ve found us. Chess at Three is the only program worldwide that introduces children as young as 3 to chess through engaging, silly stories. Our innovative approach has already reached over 15,000 children weekly across NYC, LA, and beyond, with the help of more than 100 dedicated tutors.

Now, we're expanding and looking for bilingual (English/Spanish) tutors in New York City to bring our joyful, story-based learning to even more families. 🌟

What You'll Do 🤹‍♀️

• Teach kids (ages 3–10) how to play chess using our fun, story-centered method
• Connect with Spanish-speaking families and communities through your bilingual skills
• Deliver in-home and in-school lessons using our ready-made curriculum
• Build meaningful relationships with families, children, and the community

What We're Looking For 🌟

• Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish and English
• Great with kids: Animated, fun, and full of heart
• Experience: As a teacher, tutor, performer, or early childhood professional
• Self-starter mindset: Organized, responsible, and proactive
• Background in hospitality, customer service, or community building: A plus
• Familiarity with chess: Helpful but not required
• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
• Background check: Must pass

Details & Compensation 💼

• Starting rate: $40/hour
• Top tutors earn: up to $2,100/week
• Position: Part-time contractor with potential for full-time employment
• Schedule: Flexible hours — after school, weekends, or your preferred times
