About This Role
Wells Fargo is looking for an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join our National Branch Network within the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. Learn more about our careers at wellsfargojobs.com.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by building relationships through proactive outreach.
- Suggest suitable products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially.
- Assist customers with opening accounts, service requests, and credit applications.
- Exercise judgment within established policies, guided by managerial direction.
- Develop knowledge of bank products and services to connect with customer needs.
- Engage with customers to demonstrate care and foster relationships.
- Provide relevant options for bank products/services and refer customers to partners as needed.
- Comply with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008, including ongoing licensing and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months' experience interacting with customers, or equivalent through work, training, military, or education.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong customer service skills and experience handling complex transactions.
- Proactive engagement with customers via phone or email.
- Ability to educate customers about technology and mobile banking.
- Experience fostering and maintaining customer relationships.
- Teamwork skills to assist in meeting customer needs.
- Ability to identify potential fraud or risky accounts quickly.
- Integrity and professionalism in interactions with customers and colleagues.
- Military experience relevant to personnel management, benefits, or leadership roles.
- Proficient in sourcing and maintaining customer and colleague relationships.
- Support in resolving or escalating concerns effectively.
Job Expectations
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Maintain cash drawer, handle transactions, and complete service tasks accurately.
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
- Willingness to travel up to 100% within the district.
- Potential coverage for other branches within a designated geography.
- Commute to assigned locations; mileage/public transit reimbursements provided.
- Must complete SAFE registration upon employment; visit NMLS for details.
- Loan Originator (LO) candidates must meet CFPB requirements and satisfy additional Wells Fargo policies.
