About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for our National Branch Network within the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. Discover more about our career areas and divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service through proactive outreach
  • Recommend products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially
  • Assist with basic requests such as opening accounts, processing service requests, and submitting credit applications
  • Follow guidance from managers, exercising judgment within policies and procedures
  • Develop knowledge of bank products to meet customer needs
  • Engage with customers to demonstrate care and foster relationships
  • Offer appropriate banking options and refer customers to other bankers or partners as needed

Note: This SAFE position involves customer contact and may include offering/negotiating terms or taking applications for dwelling-secured transactions. Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations is required, and employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements, including a background check. Candidates must also meet Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of customer interaction experience, or equivalent through work, training, military service, or education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Customer service focus with experience managing complex transactions across multiple systems
  • Proactive engagement skills via phone or email outreach
  • Ability to educate customers on technology and promote mobile banking
  • Passion for helping customers succeed financially by coordinating with team members
  • Experience with teamwork, relationship building, and fostering customer loyalty
  • Strong internal and external partnership skills
  • Adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Ability to identify and act on potential fraud or risky accounts
  • Professional and integrity-driven interaction with customers and colleagues
  • Relevant military experience, including personnel benefits management, orders processing, or leadership roles
  • Proficiency in sourcing, maintaining, and growing customer relationships
  • Support in resolving concerns or escalations effectively

Job Expectations

  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
  • Manage cash drawers and perform service-related tasks accurately
  • This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Willing to travel within the district 100% of the time
  • Potential to rotate between branches for support purposes
  • Commute to assigned locations; mileage or transportation costs reimbursed
  • Requires SAFE registration at employment start, with Wells Fargo facilitating process
  • Compliance with licensing, character, financial, and background standards for Loan Originators
