About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join our National Branch Network within the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. Explore more about our career areas at wellsfargojobs.com.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • 🤝 Deliver exceptional customer service by building relationships through proactive outreach and proposing suitable products, services, and digital solutions to help clients succeed financially.
  • 📝 Assist customers with opening new accounts, fulfilling service requests, and submitting credit applications.
  • 🎯 Follow directions from managers and exercise judgment within established policies and procedures.
  • 📚 Develop knowledge of bank products and services to connect with customer needs effectively.
  • ❤️ Interact with clients to demonstrate care, fostering strong relationships.
  • 🔍 Provide options for bank products and services tailored to customer requirements.
  • 🤝 Refer customers to other bankers and partners for additional financial needs.
  • This SAFE position involves customer contact and may include offering or negotiating terms for dwelling-secured transactions. Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations is mandatory. Ongoing employment depends on meeting all requirements, including background verification and Loan Originator standards under Regulation Z.

Required Qualifications

  • 📅 Minimum of 6 months of customer interaction experience OR demonstrated through work, training, military service, or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 💼 Customer service focus with experience managing complex transactions across multiple systems.
  • 📞 Proactive engagement via phone or email.
  • 📱 Ability to educate customers on technology and mobile banking.
  • 💰 Helping customers succeed financially through team collaborations.
  • 🤝 Building and nurturing strong customer and internal partner relationships.
  • 🛡️ Ability to follow policies, detect potential fraud, and act accordingly.
  • 🎖️ Relevant military experience, including working with protocol, personnel management, or operations.
  • 🔗 Skilled in sourcing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • 🗣️ Support in resolving or escalating customer and employee concerns.

Job Expectations & Details

  • 🗓️ Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
  • 💵 Manage cash drawer, balance cash, and complete service tasks.
  • 🚫 Not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
  • 🚗 Willingness to travel within the district as needed (up to 100%).
  • 🔄 May rotate between branches within a specified geographical area to support staffing needs.
  • 🚶‍♂️ Commute to assigned locations; mileage and public transportation costs are reimbursed.
  • 📝 SAFE registration required upon employment. Wells Fargo will assist with the registration process.

Loan Originator candidates must also meet rigorous regulatory standards, including financial responsibility, character, and background checks. A current credit report will be used for evaluation, without regard to credit scores.
