About This Role 🏦
Wells Fargo is seeking a motivated Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join our National Branch Network within the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. Learn more about our career opportunities at wellsfargojobs.com.
Key Responsibilities 💼
- Deliver exceptional customer service by building relationships through proactive outreach and recommending suitable products, services, and digital solutions to support customers' financial success.
- Assist customers with basic requests such as opening new accounts, processing service requests, and submitting credit applications.
- Follow direction from managers and exercise judgment within established policies and procedures.
- Develop knowledge of bank products and services to effectively connect with customer needs.
- Engage with customers to demonstrate care and foster strong relationships.
- Offer appropriate banking options and refer customers to other bankers or partners as needed.
- Comply with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations, including ongoing licensing requirements and background checks. This role may involve offering/negotiating terms and processing applications for dwelling-secured transactions.
Required Qualifications ✔️
- At least 6 months of customer interaction experience, demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.

- Strong customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
- Proactive engagement with customers via phone or email.
- Ability to educate customers on technology and promote mobile banking.
- Skill in helping customers succeed financially by connecting them to other team members.
- Experience working collaboratively to meet customer needs and build lasting relationships.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong internal partnerships.
- Adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations, with an eye for potential fraud detection.
- Professional integrity and the ability to interact respectfully with customers and colleagues.
- Relevant military experience, including personnel benefits management, processing orders, or wartime operations.
- Proficiency in sourcing, acquiring, and maintaining customer relationships.
- Support in resolving or escalating customer concerns or complaints.
Job Expectations 📅
- Willingness to work on weekends and holidays as required.
- Maintain cash drawer and handle balancing and service tasks.
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
- Must be able to travel 100% within the district, potentially roving between branches in a specified geography.
- Commute to assigned locations for branch support, with mileage or transportation reimbursements.
- Required SAFE registration before employment, with Wells Fargo initiating the process upon start date.
- Operate in compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements, including Loan Originator standards if applicable.
