University of Minnesota Is Hiring A Bilingual Research Psychometrist And Research Support
Position Summary
The Grossman Center for Memory Research and Care at the University of Minnesota is committed to advancing research to enhance quality of life. We are looking for a dedicated bilingual (Mandarin/Cantonese & English) Psychometrist to administer cognitive assessments and support our Chinese American research participants in a hybrid work environment.
About the Job
This role involves direct interaction with participants, administering and scoring neuropsychometric tests, and supporting research activities including data entry and quality assessments. Prior experience with statistics is a plus! 👩💻👨💻
Work Schedule: Hybrid (mostly in-person), Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer and Score Neuropsychometric Tests (75%)
- Adapt test administration to individual participant needs while adhering to standardized procedures.
- Coordinate and score a variety of cognitive tests measuring intelligence, attention, memory, language, perceptual-motor skills, and executive functions under supervision.
- Ensure accurate test compilation and behavioral observations for neuropsychologist interpretation.
- Complete Paperwork (20%)
- Generate behavioral summaries and maintain test materials/supplies.
- Compile data for research and clinical use and enter data accurately into databases.
- Provide Care & Ensure Safety (5%)
- Communicate respectfully with participants.
- Maintain a safe, secure environment at all times.
Qualifications
All required qualifications should be included in your application materials.
- Educational Background: BA/BS in psychology or health-related field, or equivalent experience (4 years).
- Language Fluency: Near-native proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Experience: Psychology or related experience with diverse adult populations.
- Skills: Basic measurement, computer, observation, reading, and writing skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, ability to work independently.

Pay & Benefits
Pay Range: $20.50/hr - $23.69/hr (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Position Type: 60% Civil-Service & Non-Faculty Staff, hybrid schedule
