Position Details
- Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Time
- Additional requirements: Possible overtime, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
- Training: 5 weeks of paid onboarding, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM PST
Primary Responsibilities
- Achieve performance goals related to patient satisfaction, accuracy, quality, and attendance
- Maintain adherence to department standards, with daily adherence metric evaluations
- Deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrating care and professionalism in every interaction 🤝
- Multi-task using double monitors for data entry, phone etiquette, and resource utilization
- Serve as a patient advocate by exchanging complex and sensitive information with internal and external customers
- Assist with paperwork and resolve patient issues collaboratively with team members
- Identify and follow procedures for financial, medical, and legal risks during customer interactions
- Use Optum systems to handle appointments, claims, authorizations, benefits, and appeals
- Translate oral information into concise, accurate written documentation
- Guide new or potential members regarding PCP options and general medical information
- Coordinate with clinicians and Telehealth nurses, including scheduling DME, transportation, and home health services
- Input PCP changes and handle related paperwork efficiently
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience
- Must be 18 years or older
- At least 2 years of customer service experience
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with navigating multiple chat channels, including Microsoft Teams
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Ability to work full-time during scheduled hours, including flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Over 1 year of healthcare experience
- Experience in a call center environment
- Experience working virtually with multiple screens

- Establish a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions
- Possess or have access to high-speed internet approved by UnitedHealth Group

Compensation & Benefits
The hourly pay ranges from $16.15 to $28.80, depending on factors such as experience, location, and certifications. 🚀
