Meet Charlie (Your Future Colleague)
Charlie, also known as Charlotte or Charles, is the fictional Packing Lead who walks into work like a boss — because they kind of are. With one eye on the seasoner, one on the scale, and both hands ready to get busy, Charlie packs with purpose, positivity, and a people-first leadership style. Now, we're looking for another Charlie — maybe you! ✨
Your Mission (If You Choose to Accept It)
You will be the frontline captain of our packing operations, blending snacks with strategy. Your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring smooth workflow from kettle room to shipment
- Splicing film like a snack ninja
- Coaching and leading the packing crew like a champ
- Impactting every chip bag we send out — no pressure, just excitement!
Work Hours
Dieffenbachs Team C Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 6:50 am - 7:00 pm (Leads may start earlier)
You’ll Crush It If You
- Believe in communication, collaboration, and high-fives 🤝
- Lead with care and inject humor when appropriate
- Handle metal detectors like a pro — no freak-outs allowed!
- Don’t mind getting a little greasy, moving fast, and working in snack-scented wonderland
- Enjoy cross-shift collaboration
- Are bilingual (English & Spanish) — a big plus!
On a Serious (But Still Fun) Note
Beyond technical skills, we’re seeking someone who:
- Fosters a positive culture — grumps are not welcome!
- Loves snacks, but values people, process, and standard work more

What You’ll Do
- Monitor and operate packaging equipment: weights, sealing, film splicing, date coding
- Support your team to achieve quality, safety, and productivity goals
- Promote a collaborative and positive work environment across shifts
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Perform metal detector checks, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure product flow
- Change film rolls, adjust machines, and verify customer specifications (seals, weights, labels)
- Adjust seasoning levels for consistency
- Inspect and hand-pack products with attention to detail
- Handle rework and repacking tasks as needed
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and similar equipment safely
- Keep detailed logs of quality checks, production data, and inspections
- Communicate professionally with team members and supervisors
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas per food safety standards
- Provide lunch and break coverage for team members
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
What We’re Looking For
- A team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude 🤗
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Prior food manufacturing or packing line experience (preferred but not mandatory)
- Leadership experience or a desire to grow into leadership
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for long shifts
- Willingness to work in hot, loud, and occasionally wet conditions
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety practices (a plus)
