Job Overview
Customer Service Specialists work closely with wholesale and retail customers to identify their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend suitable solutions. They are also responsible for resolving customer concerns promptly, ensuring maximum satisfaction, and staying informed about product features. The role emphasizes achieving excellent customer service while meeting sales targets.
The successful candidate will be based at multiple store locations:
- Store #5330: 1716 Liberty Rd. Unit 7 Eldersburg, MD 21037
- Store #5060: 901 East Baltimore Blvd. Westminster, MD 21157
- Store #3608: 250 Englar Rd Ste 18 Westminster, MD 21157
- Store #3366: 909 E Fort Ave Baltimore, MD 21230

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service 🤝
- Assist customers in person and over the phone, identifying needs and presenting appropriate products and services 📞
- Build trust-based relationships with wholesale and retail customers 🤗
- Process sales transactions accurately, adhering to policies and procedures 💰
- Set and achieve sales goals monthly, quarterly, and yearly 🎯
- Maintain precise work order files and formulas 🗂️
- Retrieve products from sales floor or warehouse 🏪
- Tint and mix products to customer specifications 🎨
- Stock shelves and set up displays 🛒
- Clean store equipment 🧼
- Load and unload delivery trucks 🚚
- Assist with deliveries as needed 🚚
- Maintain in-stock, presentable areas 🏬
- Stay knowledgeable about products and discuss options with customers 💡
- Follow inventory control procedures 📋
- Suggest ways to improve sales and customer experience 🚀
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- At least 18 years of age ✨
- Legally authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future 🌍
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) 📝
- Proficient in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking) 🗣️
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License 🚗
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally, with or without accommodations 💪
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends ⏰
- If internal: Must have a “meets expectations” (3) or higher on recent performance appraisals ✅
- Completed all required HR eLearning courses if internal 🎓
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED 🎓
- At least 1 year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service roles 🚀
- Experience in selling paint and paint-related products 🎨
- Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment ⚙️
