Position: Full-time Flex Houseparents
👫 MHS is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this impactful role, couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing essential care, guidance, supervision, and support to approximately 8–13 students. Your leadership fosters a structured, family-like environment that nurtures students' academic, emotional, and social growth.
Key Responsibilities 📝
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship
- Managing household routines and student schedules
- Administering medications and promoting student wellness
- Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental and recreational activities
- Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Overseeing household budgets and reporting
Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school. Eventually, they transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with the same group of students in their own home.

Qualifications ✔️
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Legally married couples for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Residence limited to no more than three dependent children in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one approved breed of dog
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism, serving as role models for students
