Position: Full-time Flex Houseparents

We are seeking dedicated married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents, living in campus student homes and providing essential care, guidance, and mentorship to approximately 8–13 students. This unique role offers a life-changing experience, fostering a supportive, family-like environment where students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. 💖

Key Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and advocating for student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning engaging developmental and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel services
• Overseeing household budgeting and reporting duties

Work Schedule & Transition

Initially, houseparents support various student homes on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. During weekdays, they enjoy unscheduled time while students are in school. Over time, they transition into a Placed Houseparent role, residing and working with the same group of students in their dedicated home. 🏡

Benefits & Compensation

• Salary: $44,768 per person (approximate total couple compensation of $168,000, including housing, meals during duty, utilities, and more)

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years
• Both spouses aged 27 or older
• Maximum of three dependent children residing in the student home
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol allowed during duty
• Pet limitations: only fish and one approved breed of dog
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain certification to drive student vans
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
