Position Overview 🎯
As a Flex Houseparent, you will reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support to a group of approximately 8–13 students. Your vital role fosters a structured, family-like environment that nurtures students' academic, emotional, and social development, helping them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities ✨
- Supervision & Mentorship: Providing daily guidance and support to students
- Household Management: Managing routines and student schedules
- Health & Wellness: Administering medications and ensuring student well-being
- Transportation & Activities: Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreation events
- Spiritual Leadership: Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Household Oversight: Managing budgeting and household reporting
Work Schedule & Transition 🔄
Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. During weekdays, there is unscheduled time while students are in school. Eventually, couples transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with the same students in their dedicated home.
Benefits & Compensation 💰
- Salary: $44,768 per person (approximate total of $168,000 per couple annually, including housing, meals during duty, utilities, and more)

Qualifications 📋
- Experience volunteering or working with youth
- Married for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27 or older
- Maximum of three dependent children living in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; alcohol not permitted on duty
- Pet restrictions: only fish and one approved breed dog allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to get certified to drive student vans
- Comfort leading students in devotions and participating in Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and role-model qualities
