Position Overview: Full-time Flex Houseparents 💑
As a Flex Houseparent, you will reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, and supervision to a group of approximately 8–13 students. Your role is vital in creating a nurturing environment that helps students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities 📝
- Supervision & Mentorship: Daily oversight and emotional support for students
- Household Management: Managing routines and student schedules
- Health & Safety: Administering medications and ensuring wellness
- Transportation & Activities: Driving to activities and engaging in developmental and recreational events
- Spiritual Leadership: Leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel with students
- Financial Oversight: Budgeting and household reporting
Schedule & Transitioning 📆
Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes with a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school. Over time, they transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with the same group of students in their own home.
Compensation & Benefits 💰
- Salary: $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple), including free housing, meals during duty, utilities, and more

- Additional Perks: Relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off at scheduled times throughout the year
Qualifications & Requirements 🎓
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Legally married couples for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Up to three dependent children allowed in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet restrictions: only fish and one breed-approved dog
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and role-model behavior
