Position Overview: Full-time Flex Houseparents 💑

As a Flex Houseparent, you will reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, and supervision to a group of approximately 8–13 students. Your role is vital in creating a nurturing environment that helps students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities 📝

• Supervision & Mentorship: Daily oversight and emotional support for students
• Household Management: Managing routines and student schedules
• Health & Safety: Administering medications and ensuring wellness
• Transportation & Activities: Driving to activities and engaging in developmental and recreational events
• Spiritual Leadership: Leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel with students
• Financial Oversight: Budgeting and household reporting

Schedule & Transitioning 📆

Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes with a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school. Over time, they transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with the same group of students in their own home.

Compensation & Benefits 💰

• Salary: $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple), including free housing, meals during duty, utilities, and more

Qualifications & Requirements 🎓

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Legally married couples for at least two years
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older
• Up to three dependent children allowed in the student home
• Commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
• Pet restrictions: only fish and one breed-approved dog
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student vans
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and role-model behavior
