Position Overview 👥
As a Flex Houseparent, you and your spouse will live in on-campus student homes, caring for groups of approximately 8–13 students. Your role is vital in creating a nurturing, structured environment that supports academic, emotional, and social growth, helping students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities 🎯
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship
- Managing household routines and student schedules
- Administering medications and supporting student wellness
- Driving students to activities and planning engaging developmental and recreational events
- Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Overseeing household budgeting and reporting
Initially, houseparents support various student homes on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school. Over time, they may transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working consistently with the same group of students in their own home.
Compensation & Benefits 💰
- Annual salary: $44,768 per person (Approximately $168,000 total per couple, including housing, meals, utilities, and more)

Qualifications & Requirements 📝
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Legally married couples for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Maximum of three dependent children residing in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet restrictions: only fish and one approved breed of dog
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to obtain certification for driving student vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
