Maximus is seeking passionate Bilingual Mandarin or Bilingual Cantonese Customer Service Representatives to join our New York State of Health (NYSOH) team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls from consumers, including the public, enrollees, and advocates, respecting confidentiality and privacy policies 🔒
- Respond efficiently to inbound and outbound contacts 🗣️
- Track and document inquiries using system tools 📊
- Process health care coverage applications: build tax households, determine eligibility, interpret marketplace decisions, and enroll clients into health plans 📝
- Handle life event changes, demographic updates, disenrollment, and special enrollment periods 🔄
- Fulfill caller requests for materials via mail, email, or download 📧📦
- Provide translation services for non-English speakers according to procedures 🌐
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate staff for resolution 🚩
- Participate in meetings and training to stay current on programs and systems 📅
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy in all inquiries and refer callers when necessary 🔑
- Meet QA and key performance metrics 🎯
- Follow safety standards and protocols 🦺
- Remain stationary for extended periods and occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds 🏋️♂️
- Work predominantly in an office environment and perform other duties as assigned 🖥️
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, with 6+ months of relevant experience, or equivalent combination 🎓
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin or Cantonese, or fluency in Spanish and Haitian Creole 🗣️
- Fluent reading, writing, and translation skills in Mandarin or Cantonese and English
- Residency within 100 miles of New York, NY 📍
- Strong data entry, organizational, and communication skills 📝
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously ⚡
- Experience with computers, phone systems, and headsets preferred 💻📞
- Previous customer service experience preferred 🤝
