A top banking firm in New York is seeking a Bilingual IT Project Manager to oversee IT infrastructure projects and coordinate with stakeholders across the U.S. and Japan. The ideal candidate has 5-10 years of IT project management experience, especially in IT infrastructure, and is fluent in both English and Japanese. This role demands strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex, cross-border projects in a dynamic environment.

🛠️ What Will You Do

• Project Management: Lead and support IT infrastructure initiatives from planning to successful completion.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between U.S. and Japan-based teams, facilitating smooth communication.
• Bilingual Communication: Translate technical and business requirements accurately between English and Japanese.
• Timeline & Budget Management: Keep projects within scope, on schedule, and within budget while ensuring quality.
• Regulatory Compliance: Align IT projects with banking industry standards and security protocols.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project records in both languages.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategic mitigation plans.
• Vendor & Partner Engagement: Collaborate with external vendors and IT service providers as needed.

📝 Required Qualifications & Skills

• Fluency in both English and Japanese (spoken and written)
• 5-10 years of IT project management experience, preferably within financial services or banking sectors
• Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure projects such as network upgrades, data center migrations, or security implementations
• Strong ability to coordinate across global teams and time zones, with 30-50% of responsibilities involving collaboration with Japan
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• PMP or other project management certifications are a plus
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (NY/NJ) with 2 onsite days per week
