📝 Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate interpretation: Facilitate conversations between English and Cantonese across various sectors, ensuring clarity, neutrality, and emotional nuance.
- Maintain confidentiality: Uphold strict privacy standards and impartiality at all times.
- Manage call flow: Handle live calls professionally, respectfully intervening for clarification when needed.
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence: Show empathy and composure during high-pressure or emotionally charged calls.
- Use active listening and note-taking: Retain information effectively for longer exchanges.
- Stay within interpreter role: Avoid offering personal opinions or advice.

🎯 Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred.
- Fluency in English and Cantonese (B2+ proficiency or higher).
- Ability to pass language and interpreting skills assessments.
- At least 6 months of call center, customer service, or interpreting experience.
- Strong verbal communication and bilingual accuracy.
- Professionalism and ethical decision-making in fast-paced, emotionally complex situations.
- Time management, responsibility, and integrity.
- Comfort with assertive communication and session control.
- Basic computer skills (typing, MS Office).
- Quiet, distraction-free workspace conducive to active listening.
- Stable internet connection (cable, DSL, fiber; no cellular hotspots).
- Valid government-issued photo ID required during recruitment and training.
