About The Role

Bilingual Health & Safety Assistant

Pay: $40,000 + up to $500 quarterly bonus + attendance bonus 💵

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 🕖

Main Responsibilities

  • Training and Orientation: Conduct face-to-face onboarding and orientation for new hires, covering company policies, procedures, and job skills. Administer learning schedules and maintain participant training records.
  • Policy Development and Review: Assist the H&S Manager in developing and reviewing safety policies to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Injury and Illness Monitoring: Support in monitoring work-related injuries and illnesses, including investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Safety Inspections: Perform site walks to observe safety practices, document hazards, incidents, or employee issues, and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
  • Committee Participation: Join the Health & Safety Committee to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to management.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative duties such as inspection setups, EAP & FPP implementation, first aider/fire marshal training, and AED arrangements.

About You

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with management and employees, with strong organizational, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Safety Awareness: Some knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations is preferred, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and similar programs, confident in engaging with others.
  • Flexibility: Willing to work flexible days and hours as needed. Multilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus!
