About the Role

As a Community Outreach and Engagement Specialist, you'll work closely with community partners to grow Molina's membership, enhance health outcomes, and foster community well-being. You’ll collaborate with our sales team and regional colleagues, managing events and relationships primarily in Brooklyn and surrounding counties.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Goals Achievement: Responsible for meeting enrollment growth objectives and improving Molina's participation in Medicaid programs.
- Community Engagement: Carry out enrollment events, collaborate with departments, and enhance "choice" rates for our plans.
- Relationship Building: Develop and nurture partnerships with community leaders, organizations, and providers to drive membership growth.
- Performance Metrics: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly enrollment and growth targets.
- Event Coordination: Schedule, participate in, and promote enrollment events, encouraging partner involvement.
- Provider Collaboration: Work with Provider Services to increase awareness of Molina’s offerings and create referral processes.
- Subject Matter Expert: Be recognized as an authority on healthcare delivery and wellness topics, delivering presentations and educational materials.
- Member Support: Assist incoming calls, answer health access questions, and provide guidance.
- Community Outreach: Identify sponsorship opportunities, promote Molina programs, and foster employee participation.
- Self-Management: Manage your daily schedule aligned with regional goals and contribute to SMART goal development.
Job Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in marketing, business development, community engagement, or healthcare.
- Exceptional networking and negotiation skills.
- Strong public speaking and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Comfortable attending outdoor events in various weather conditions.
- Capable of sitting and standing for extended periods.
- Willing to drive up to 3 hours for events and lift up to 30 pounds.
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation.
Preferred Experience & Certifications
- Understanding of Medicaid markets and healthcare outreach.
- Previous experience in healthcare marketing, enrollment, or grassroots outreach.
- 5+ years serving low-income populations.
- 3-5 years project management experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Experience presenting to influencers and diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of sales or marketing techniques.
- Fluency in an additional language (e.g., Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, Arabic) highly desirable.

- Active Life & Health Insurance license
- Marketplace Certification
