📍 Client & Work Locations

  • Client Locations: Jersey City, NJ; Tempe, AZ; Brea, CA
  • Work Arrangement: 3 days onsite & 1 day remote per week (4-day work week)
  • Relocation: Open to non-local candidates willing to relocate without expense coverage

💰 Compensation & Duration

  • Rate: $62/hour W2
  • Contract Length: 12 months initially, with an option to go contract-to-hire

🕒 Working Hours & Schedule

This role features a hybrid work model, with shifts distributed across multiple locations:

  • Jersey City, NJ (Front Half): 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST, Sunday – Wednesday
  • Jersey City, NJ (Back Half): 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST, Wednesday – Saturday
  • Tempe, AZ / Brea, CA (Front Half): 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM EST, Sunday – Wednesday
  • Tempe, AZ / Brea, CA (Back Half): 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM EST, Wednesday – Saturday

Resources are located in Jersey City, NJ, and Tempe, AZ / Brea, CA, based on the shifts outlined above.

🎯 Role Responsibilities

  • Conduct artifact analysis to identify intrusion methods and determine resolution strategies, driving security improvements
  • Leverage strong incident response expertise across multiple operating systems and cloud environments
  • Gather, analyze, and correlate security data using advanced tools and techniques
  • Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Monitors security events, investigates incidents, and leads response efforts
  • Investigate potential cybersecurity threats across diverse environments
  • Support compliance inquiries and ensure documentation aligns with security policies
  • Create analytical reports highlighting activities and emerging threats
  • Develop security detection tactics, playbooks, and automations to enhance threat response
  • Review logs and alerts; triage and escalate cases appropriately
  • Monitor external service providers for potential cybersecurity incidents
  • Analyze and remediate compromised systems
  • Perform breach assessments and network traffic investigations
  • Assist with internal and third-party investigation efforts
  • Research evolving threats and update security strategies accordingly
  • Stay current with industry frameworks, standards, and best practices

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Japanese, including cultural understanding
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience: 5+ years in Cybersecurity Operations or Information Security
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include CISSP, ISSMP, SANS, GIAC, GCIA, CISM, CEH, GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, or GSEC
  • Technical Expertise: Experience across Incident Response, Forensics, Security Governance, and related domains
