📝 Job Overview

The General Manager will oversee production staffing, workflow coordination, and employee relations within a fast-paced, high-volume facility. This leadership role demands a proactive individual who excels in dynamic environments, manages both permanent and temporary labor effectively, and upholds production efficiency and compliance standards.

🔧 Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations, ensuring prompt and accurate order fulfillment 📦
• Manage and support a team of approximately 40 staff members, including shift leads and office personnel 👥
• Serve as the primary HR contact — handling recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and temp agency coordination 🤝
• Maintain compliance with food safety standards in collaboration with the Quality and Food Safety team (or oversee this function until a new hire is appointed) 🥗
• Partner with senior leadership to enhance operational efficiency and support company growth 🚀
• Assist with workforce scheduling and shift coverage to ensure seamless operations 📅
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and bilingual (English/Spanish) work environment 🌎
• Communicate regularly with international partners and the Canadian facility to align production goals 🌐

🎯 Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish — required
• 5+ years of experience in operations management, HR, or production supervision (food industry experience strongly preferred) 🏭
• Proven success in fast-paced, high-demand environments ⚡
• Experience managing temporary labor and working with staffing agencies 🤝
• Strong organizational and communication skills 📈
• Familiarity with food safety standards and compliance (preferred) ✅
