Your Role as a Bilingual Flight Attendant

  • Provide safety and service duties on long-haul international flights
  • Serve as a cultural and linguistic liaison between Japanese-speaking guests and crew
  • Make bi-lingual public announcements in Japanese and English
  • Assist passengers with customs forms and service recovery issues
  • Collaborate effectively within a multi-lingual crew

Daily Responsibilities

This role involves international travel that may require:

  • Multi-day trips with extended layovers
  • Night shifts and weekend operations
  • Flexible on-call support (reserve) and scheduled lines

Being adaptable and prepared for a dynamic schedule is essential!

Training & Onboarding 🎓

  • Minimum of 2+ years of customer service experience required
  • Attend a 6.5-week paid training program in Houston
  • Mandatory language proficiency test in Japanese
  • Previous flight attendant experience is preferred but not required

Career Growth & Compensation 💼

United Airlines offers industry-leading wages, with an estimated annual base salary ranging from $50,000 to $80,000 (including language pay). Benefits include:
