Your Role as a Bilingual Flight Attendant

Beyond standard safety and service duties, you will act as a cultural and linguistic liaison. Your responsibilities include:

  • Making public announcements in both Japanese and English
  • Assisting passengers with customs forms
  • Providing service recovery for issues that may arise
  • Collaborating effectively within a multi-lingual team

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

This position involves long-haul international travel, requiring readiness for multi-day trips, extended layovers, and a flexible schedule that includes:

  • Night shift departures
  • Weekend operations
  • 24/7 international on-call support (reserve) and scheduled lines

Training & Onboarding

Requirements include:

  • At least 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Attending a 6.5-week paid training in Houston
  • Mandatory language proficiency testing
  • Previous flight attendant experience is not required but preferred

Career Growth & Compensation
