Your Role & Responsibilities 📝
- Perform all standard safety and service duties
- Serve as a cultural and linguistic liaison
- Deliver public announcements in Japanese and English
- Assist passengers with customs forms and other immediate needs
- Help with service recovery to resolve passenger issues
- Collaborate effectively within a multi-lingual crew
Typical Day & Work Environment 🕑
This role focuses on long-haul international flights. Be prepared for:
- Multi-day trips & extended layovers
- Night departures & weekend operations
- 100% flexibility for international on-call support (reserve) and scheduled lines
Training & Onboarding 🎓
Requirements include:
- Over 2 years of customer service experience
- 6.5-week paid training in Houston, including a mandatory language proficiency test
- Initial flight attendant experience is *not* required but is a plus
Career Development & Compensation 💼
United Airlines offers an industry-leading wage structure with an estimated annual base salary ranging from $50,000 to $80,000 (including language pay). Benefits include:
