Your Role as a Bilingual Flight Attendant
- Conduct all safety and service functions efficiently and professionally.
- Act as a cultural and linguistic liaison.
- Make bilingual public announcements in Japanese and English.
- Assist passengers with customs forms and service recovery.
- Collaborate seamlessly within a multi-lingual crew.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
This role involves long-haul international flights, with responsibilities including:
- Handling multi-day trips and extended layovers 🏝️
- Performing night departures and weekend operations 🌙
- Maintaining 100% flexibility for international on-call support and scheduled lines.
Training & Onboarding
- Experience: 2+ years in customer service required.
- Training: 6.5-week paid program in Houston, including a mandatory language proficiency test.
- Prior flight attendant experience is not required but preferred.
Career Development & Compensation
United Airlines offers an industry-leading wage structure, with an estimated annual base salary of $50,000 - $80,000 (including language pay). Benefits include profit sharing and global travel privileges with United and Star Alliance partners. 🌟🌍
