Your Role as a Bilingual Flight Attendant

Beyond standard safety and service duties, you will serve as a cultural and linguistic liaison. Your responsibilities include:

  • Making all public announcements in Japanese and English
  • Providing passenger assistance with customs forms
  • Handling service recovery issues
  • Collaborating effectively within a multi-lingual team

Your Day-to-Day

This role primarily involves long-haul international flights, requiring:

  • Preparation for multi-day trips and extended layovers
  • Availability for night shifts and weekend operations
  • Flexibility for 24/7 international on-call support and scheduled lines

Training & Onboarding

The role requires:

  • At least 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Completion of a 6.5-week paid training in Houston, including a mandatory language proficiency test
  • No prior flight attendant experience is required, but it is preferred
