Your Role as a Bilingual Flight Attendant
Beyond standard safety and service duties, you will serve as a cultural and linguistic liaison. Responsibilities include:
- Making public announcements in Japanese and English
- Assisting passengers with customs forms
- Providing support for service recovery when issues arise
- Collaborating with a diverse, multi-lingual crew
What a Typical Day Looks Like
This role involves long-haul international flights, often requiring multi-day trips, extended layovers, and night departures. Flexibility is key, as the position demands availability for international on-call support (reserve) and scheduled operations, including weekends and night shifts. 🕒🌙
Training & Onboarding
Candidates should have at least 2+ years of customer service experience. The onboarding process includes:
- 6.5-week paid training in Houston
- Mandatory language proficiency test
While previous flight attendant experience is not required, it is considered a plus.
