🛫 Your Role as a Bilingual Flight Attendant

Beyond standard safety and service duties, you will act as a cultural and linguistic liaison. Responsibilities include:

  • Making public announcements in both Japanese and English
  • Assisting passengers with customs forms
  • Providing service recovery for any issues that arise
  • Collaborating effectively within a multi-lingual crew

🗓️ Day-to-Day Responsibilities

This position is focused on long-haul international flights, requiring readiness for:

  • Multi-day trips
  • Extended layovers
  • Night shift departures
  • Weekend operations
  • International on-call support (reserve) and scheduled lines

Flexibility is essential for this 24/7 role.

🎓 Training & Onboarding

  • Minimum of 2+ years in customer service
  • 6.5-week paid training in Houston, including a language proficiency test
  • No previous flight attendant experience required, but preferred

💼 Career Growth & Compensation

United Airlines offers industry-leading wages, with an estimated annual base salary ranging from $50,000 to $80,000 (including language pay). Benefits include:
