Your Role as a Bilingual Flight Attendant ✈️👩‍✈️

Beyond standard safety and service duties, you'll serve as a cultural and linguistic liaison. Your responsibilities include:

  • Making public announcements in both Japanese and English
  • Assisting passengers with customs forms
  • Providing support for service recovery and resolving issues
  • Collaborating effectively within a multi-lingual team

A Typical Day — Long-Haul Travel & Flexibility 🚀🕐

This position involves international flights, often spanning multiple days with extended layovers. You should be prepared for:

  • Night shift departures 🌙
  • Weekend operations 🏖️
  • 24/7 on-call support (reserve) and scheduled shifts

Training & Onboarding 🎓

Requirements for this role include:

  • Over 2 years of customer service experience
  • 6.5-week paid training in Houston, including a language proficiency test
  • No prior flight attendant experience necessary — but preferred

Career Growth & Compensation 💰

United Airlines offers an industry-leading wage structure, with annual base pay estimates from $50,000 to $80,000 (including language pay). Benefits include profit sharing and exclusive global travel privileges with United and Star Alliance partners.
