Vital Research Is Hiring A Bilingual Field Interviewer

🚀 Vital Research is actively seeking bilingual Field Interviewers (English / Cantonese / Mandarin) in Los Angeles, CA, to conduct in-person interviews with older adults and help enhance participant satisfaction in our PACE survey projects.

Position Overview

Join us as an independent contractor to play a vital role in collecting valuable data through face-to-face interviews. The project kicks off with a mandatory hybrid training session in late June, where you'll learn interview protocols. The duration of the project is approximately three months, and work schedules may vary based on interview assignments across the San Diego metropolitan area.

🌟 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with participants at day centers, ensuring a respectful and private environment.
• Maintain punctuality, work independently, and stay unbiased during interviews.
• Keep organized records of completed interviews, refusals, and other relevant data; update the Vital Research team daily.
• Build rapport and positive relationships with participants, and understand their feedback.
• Use company-issued tablet devices to conduct 10-15 minute in-person interviews with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Stay connected via personal cell phones and email for ongoing communication with the Vital Research team.
• Adhere to confidentiality and data security guidelines, including federal HIPAA regulations.
• Availability during assigned hours, typically between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, with flexible scheduling based on assignments.

📝 Requirements

• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Comfortable engaging with older adults, showing empathy and sensitivity to issues like disability, illness, and communication challenges.
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in email and phone communication.
• Experience with email, file management, internet browsing, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Personal computer or compatible device capable of editing MS Excel files and internet access.
• Reliable personal phone with stable wireless internet connection.
• Ability to accurately read, type, and record responses.
• Capability to follow structured protocols, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Adherence to a business casual dress code and professional appearance.
• Reliable transportation, with a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

🌟 Desired Qualifications

• Experience working with older adults, nursing homes, assisted living, or adult daycares is preferred.
• Previous interviewing experience is a plus.

💰 Compensation & Application Details

Hourly Rate: $27.00 per hour

Additional Reimbursements: Mileage, drive time, and other expenses are covered.
