Position Summary 📝
The Reductions Assistant will perform secretarial duties and provide administrative support to senior managers. Responsibilities include handling calls, managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, collaborating with other departments to gather final offer and net information, verifying and organizing medical bills, and ensuring proper follow-up. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Essential Job Functions 🎯
- Perform general office clerk duties.
- Handle incoming calls and other communication interactions with third parties.
- Verify and negotiate medical bills.
- Create and distribute refund statements.
- Sort and update required forms and documentation.
- Record information as needed.
- Prepare and circulate reports as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience & Requirements ✅
- Full-time position, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must.
- Ability to verify medical bills accurately.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Legal experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication with clients and co-workers.
- Outstanding organizational skills with multitasking and prioritization abilities.
