About the Role: Dispatcher

As a crucial part of our operations, the Dispatcher ensures smooth daily activities by coordinating driver assignments, managing service schedules, and resolving real-time field issues. Your role will help guarantee that all services are completed accurately, safely, and punctually, fostering excellent communication across teams.

• Job Classification: Full-time, salary-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act
• Location: St. Petersburg/Tampa Area, FL, 33716
• Workstyle: On-Site

• Pay Range: $45,000 - $47,000 annually

Responsibilities 📝

• Dispatch drivers on their assigned routes to ensure all scheduled services are covered efficiently
• Monitor the progress of routes in real-time; promptly address delays, breakdowns, and access issues
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, offering guidance and support throughout the day
• Communicate with customers to confirm service completion and document any service interruptions
• Collaborate closely with Routing, Scheduling, and Customer Service teams for seamless operations
• Respond to urgent service requests and customer escalations professionally and swiftly
• Maintain detailed documentation of dispatch activities, communications, and service exceptions within ServiceCore
• Track driver check-ins, service completions, and report irregularities
• Assist drivers with location-specific instructions, gate codes, and site access details
• Report operational challenges to Operations and District Managers

Qualifications & Requirements 🎯

• Bilingual: English and Spanish required
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay composed under pressure
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation preferred
• Proficiency in:
  • Microsoft Outlook and Teams
  • ServiceCore or similar logistics software
  • Microsoft Excel (basic tracking and reporting)
  • GPS Software (e.g., Motive or Verizon Connect)
• Position type: Full-time, in-office role
• Flexible hours with multiple shift start times; high-volume and emergency scenarios may require varying hours
• Participation in weekly team meetings to discuss dispatch metrics and operational updates
