As a Customer Service Specialist, you'll collaborate with wholesale and retail customers to meet their painting needs, provide expert product knowledge, and ensure exceptional satisfaction while contributing to our store goals.

About the Role

  • Engage with customers to identify needs and recommend suitable Sherwin-Williams products.
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly to maximize satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about product features and uphold high visual and quality standards.
  • Achieve excellent customer service while consistently meeting sales targets.
  • Handle sensitive information and manage access to store items and electronic equipment responsibly.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining their needs and presenting appropriate solutions.
  • Build trustworthy relationships with both wholesale and retail clients.
  • Accurately process sales transactions following company policies.
  • Maintain accurate work order files and inventory records.
  • Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse, tint and mix paints as specified.
  • Stock shelves, set up displays, and keep the store clean and organized.
  • Load/unload delivery trucks and assist with deliveries when needed.
  • Ensure areas are well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Stay knowledgeable about products and discuss available options with customers.
  • Suggest ways to boost sales and improve store operations.

Minimum Qualifications ✅

  • At least 18 years old
  • Legal authorization to work without sponsorship
  • Proficient in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally, with or without accommodations
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • For internal applicants: Recent performance rating of at least "meets expectations"

Preferred Qualifications 🌟

  • High School diploma or GED
  • One or more years of experience in retail, delivery, or customer service roles
  • Experience selling paint and related products
  • Knowledge of tinting and mixing equipment operation
