Compensation & Schedule 💼
Rate: Starting at $41.00 per hour
Availability: Contracted hours Monday-Friday, 8AM-8PM; Saturdays, 8AM-5PM. Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.
Job Summary
The Contractor Therapist conducts comprehensive assessments (for children and adults) who may have co-occurring diagnoses. Collaboratively, they develop recovery plans focusing on mental, behavioral, substance use, and wellness goals. Utilizing a range of psychotherapeutic interventions, including evidence-based practices like motivational interviewing, the therapist fosters healing, growth, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities 🗝️
- Conduct recovery-oriented screenings and bio-psycho-social assessments demonstrating understanding of substance use challenges when applicable.
- Provide individual and group therapy addressing addictive behaviors using Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs).
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, supervision, and collaborative case reviews to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
- Adopt a strengths-based perspective in treatment planning, emphasizing recovery and resilience.
- Complete assessments, reports, and screening tools (e.g., PHQ-9, CAGE-Aid, PTSD scales) regularly to maintain data quality and ensure positive outcomes.
- Maintain and share updated community resources with the team.
- Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation according to program guidelines.
- Participate in clinical training, supervision, and agency meetings to foster professional growth.
- Uphold professional and ethical standards in all interactions and services.
- Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies, including COMHAR's protocols.
- Support individuals in increasing community engagement, quality of life, and independence.
- Manage caseload actively, including outreach, care coordination, and discharge planning.
Requirements 🎯
Outpatient Therapist Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Full certification as an addictions counselor or co-occurring disorder professional by a recognized certification body (e.g., CAADC, ADC, CAAC, CCDP).
- Active licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LSW, or equivalent), or pre-licensed with supervision options.
- Experience in behavioral health and substance use treatment.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with strong literacy skills.
- Experience delivering mental health or behavioral health therapy.
- Excellent clinical documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
