Position Overview

MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this heartfelt and transformative role, couples live on-campus in student homes, offering care, mentorship, supervision, and support to approximately 8–13 students. They play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing, family-like environment that promotes academic, emotional, and social growth, empowering students to reach their full potential. 🌟

Key Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students 🧑‍🤝‍🧑
• Managing household routines and student schedules 🗓️
• Administering medications and ensuring the wellness of students 💊❤️
• Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental and recreational activities 🚗🎨
• Leading daily devotions and supporting students in Sunday Chapel 🙏
• Overseeing household budgeting and reporting 🧾💰

Initial Schedule: Support various student homes with a nine-day on-duty schedule followed by three days off. During weekdays, houseparents have unscheduled time while students are in school. Eventually, couples transition to a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with the same group of students in their dedicated home.

Benefits & Compensation

• Salary: $44,768.00 per person (~$168,000 per couple), including free housing, meals, utilities, and more 💵🏠

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Legally married couples for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27 or older 👫
• No more than three dependent children residing in the student home
• Commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; alcohol not permitted while on duty 🚭🔪
• Pet limitations: only fish and one approved dog breed 🐟🐶
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain certification to drive student vans 🚗
• Comfort leading students in devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited) 🙏✝️
• High school diploma or GED required 🎓
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 🏋️‍♂️
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students 💼🌟
