About the Role

We are seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this impactful role, couples live in on-campus student homes, offering guidance, care, and support to groups of approximately 8–13 students. Your efforts foster a nurturing, family-like environment that promotes students’ academic, emotional, and social growth, helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational events
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing household budgeting and reporting

Work Schedule & Transition

Initially, Flex Houseparents work on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, supporting various student homes. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school. Over time, they transition to a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with the same group of students in their own home.

Compensation & Benefits 💰

• Salary: $44,768 per person (approximate total couple compensation of ~$168,000), including free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Legally married couples for at least two years
• Both spouses aged 27 or older
• Residency of no more than three dependent children in the student home
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
• Pet limitations: Only fish and one approved breed of dog allowed
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student van
• Ability to lead daily devotions and participate in Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; serving as positive role models for students
