Position Overview 📝

MHS is currently hiring married couples to serve as Full-Time Flex Houseparents. This unique, life-changing role involves residing in on-campus student homes to support approximately 8–13 students, fostering a safe, nurturing environment that promotes academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include: 💼

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship 👩‍👧‍👦
• Managing household routines and student schedules 🗓️
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness 💊
• Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental and recreational programs 🚗🎨
• Leading daily devotions and guiding students to Sunday Chapel 🙏
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting 💰

Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes following a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school.

In time, they transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with the same group of students in their dedicated home.

• Salary: $44,768 per person (approximate total of $168,000 per couple), including housing, meals during duty, utilities, and more 🏡🍽️

Qualifications ✅

• Experience working or volunteering with youth 🎓
• Married for at least two years, with both spouses age 27 or older 💍
• Residence limited to no more than three dependent children in the student home 👶👧👦
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, with no alcohol during duty ⛔🍷
• Pet Restrictions: Only fish and one approved dog breed 🐟🐶
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans 🚗
• Comfort leading daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel (proselytizing not permitted) 🙏
• High school diploma or GED required 🎓
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 💪
• Show integrity and professionalism, serving as positive role models for students 🌟
